Saturday and Sunday is the Jet City Retro classic videogame show in Seattle's University District in the Deca Hotel. We showed up there early this morning and although things were still a bit slow there were some awesome deals! I bought quite a few games and played a few rounds of Vectrex, Frogger and watch some folks jam on Rockband in the free game rooms.

Before the opening of the show, tons of goodies are waiting to be unpacked! On the right: Nate (the organizer) being interviewed by KIRO 710 News Radio.

The Rockband room has a full setup with drums, mic and 2 guitars and if you ever wanted to try this game with a "full band" this is your chance! The second free game room has some arcade machines, a MAME cabinet, some classic consoles (Vectrex etc.) and lots of cartridges on loan!

This is a test entry that also serves up some tasty news!

This year's Anime and gaming convention, Sakura-Con will have one of it's gaming rooms hosted by NWCGE! Members of NWCGE will be on hand throughout the 72-hour non-stop event providing anime and game fans of all ages with the chance to play some of the greatest games from the past 25 years!

The console gaming room will feature a comfortable retro feel, and allow con-goers the opportunity to sit back, relax, and indulge in little Combat, Frogger, Galaga, Robotron and more! NWCGE staff will also be hosting contests and competitions for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights. Sakura-Con will be from March 24-26, a month after NWCGE's own Classic Gaming Expo held at the Holiday in this February 25th and 26th.
